Buxto Announcements

15 Aug 2008, 05:59 PM

From AlertPay Staff:

"We did encounter several issues from last Thursday, through to over the course of the weekend, that were fixed by this past Tuesday. When releasing several new features (including withdrawals by bank wires for many different countries), there were some issues that came up that we have since resolved.

Thank you for your patience folks."

Taken from forum, given by "support" who may also be know as "Debbie"--owner of bux.to:

"1. In the past few weeks, Bux.to has taken many new measures to enhance the efficiency of our audits so as to speed up payments.

2. While we understand that the backlog problem still exists, we seek your understanding and awareness that we are nearly 12-million members (11,759,010 as of 04 August, 8:00am GMT) and we require all the cashouts in queue to be fully audited to ensure all of our legit members are paid. This also ensures that our funds are not squandered on those who do not deserve to be paid. However, we are doing our best to pay out at full capacity.

3. To this end, we seek your understanding in some problems that we face. AlertPay currently poses technical problems to us, hindering our payment totally. As we attempt to make card payments, we also encounter many setbacks and errors as there are many cards which have not been activated. See Alertpay Issue & Payment Update for details.

4. Over the past year, members have been paid over 2 millions dollars so far and there are millions of dollars waiting to be paid out. We have plans to enhance our growth to ensure that we are capable of supporting our huge member base. We are currently working on an interface for you to upload your identification documents to get yourself verified for large cashouts.

5. The timeline for BuxReload has stalled enough and is progressing to its next stage. Armed with a budget and after going through uncountable calls and emails, a suitable host has been decided between 2 big competitors (ThePlanet and RackSpace. Make a guess) and we will be making the migration soon, afterwhich, the script will be implemented. The setup for the cluster needed to be secure, reliable and have room for expansion. Apart from that, we made sure that they understood our business and would be there for unprecedented (compared to the old Bux.to host) support.

6. We finally have news about PayBux. We are in the final stages of meetings with the relevant parties and we have an ETA of 2 months. That's something to look forward to! We will have either this Friday or coming Monday more detailed information after serveral meetings with the relevant parties this week.

7. Bux.to wants its members to be aware of the problems and know that measures are in place to improve the matters."

From the desk of Tri:

"We had a massive increase in traffic over the weekend to the forum. We have now on average 800 to 1000 users online at any one time (3000 to 4000 in 30 minutes timeframe), this translates to about 5,633 in ranking on Alexa. (At time of posting)Some are reporting the forum is loading slowly, this is because of high amount of SQL querries are being made.

Steps have been made to improved the load speed. If there are any downfall in your experience with the forum, please post in the suggestion forum, we will discuss and enable the feature again if necessary.

The following changes has been made:

Update Topic Views Immediately = disable
(If enabled, the topic views counter will be updated as one loads a topic. If not enabled, the topic views will be written to another table and the topic views updated every 3 hours. This will significantly reduce overhead on the topics table if you have a very busy board as it overcomes the write lock initiated when the topic counter is updated.)

Cut off for active user display [in minutes] = 30(before = 5)

Show birthdays = disable - i see little use of this(before = enabled)

Max. number of messages to show per page when viewing message list = 25(before = 50)

Captcha reduced to normal(before = advanced GD library)

Number of topics per forum page = 25(before = 40)

Outline View: Number of posts per page = 50(before = 100)

Use 'classic' mode profiles = enabled(before = disabled)

Number of posts per topic page = 25(before = 30)"

"This is news update, mainly update focus on script.
Anti-autoclickers implementations completed. Nice little warning to autoclickers+makers, stop wasting weeks of your life writting autoclickers, spend 5 mins a day click ads, it's not that hard, the moment you have new ones, we will beat them, is it worthed?
When banned for autoclicking, ALL credits are removed. Upline will also experience a drop in their funds if their downline uses an autoclicker.
For example: You have $10
$8 earned by yourself
$2 from your refs' clicks
One of your ref(s) earned $1, you automatically get $1 as well, but they used autoclicker to get this earning. They will be banned, their credits are removed and all the credits they got for you will also be removed. Your remaining final balance will be $9 after they are banned (the $1 they got for you is removed from your balance).
We hope that, not will this discourage people from using autoclickers but also encourage you to ask others to boycott autoclickers.
The final thing left to do is testing the cashout module. Right now we do manually runs the fraud check on each user. When we are done implementing cashout, cashout will be much faster with Bux Reload because fraud checks are more automatic. AlertPay and Bux card payments will be handle seperately.
You have been warned. Don't use autoclickers!
Expect public release: maybe this weekend or early/mid next week.We don't feel it is ready for release, needs more testing first.
"Good things come to those who wait"
*Update: It will be happen sometime by next week for sure, this comes from the management. "

"I'm getting a little bored we keep calling it 'new script' so from now it will be known as Bux Reload.
We're in the final stage of the script development stage.Next module to be tested is the admin module, which will start this weekend. Once this is done, modules intergration testing will be carried out to make sure everything flow smoothly together.Proposed public release date is 1st of May.
This is a plan date and does not mean the release will be on that date!"

April 13, 2008:

We want to update you what's going on and what to expect with the some of the features in the new script.

1. Bux.to Idol Submission

2. New script is currently being tested. Expected release in a week or 2 depending on the work to fix bugs and recode to fix server compatibility issues.

You might already know, the new support system will be intergrated into the script. In the new script, the multi-lingual FAQ has already been implemented. If a question has already been answered in the FAQ and you still continue to submit the ticket, the ticket answerers can choose to "ignore the ticket and deduct $0.50 from user's account". This will reduce the pointless tickets. The new helpdesk will also require a login, so we can tie your account to your ticket and track them easily from there, which is better than the current buxtosupport.com where everyone is anonymous.

An onscreen keyboard has been added to provide extra protection against keyloggers when login to your account from foreign computers ie at Internet Cafes

We are aware some of you are using special foreign characters.

If you want to use this added security feature (Bux.to highly suggested). Please make sure all of your password characters are supported as listed above. The most effective method that saves time and securing your account is to use both normal typing and onscreen keyboard, this is helpful if your password character is not supported by the onscreen keyboard.

"1. Script is about 98% done, should be finished by end of next week. We're just finishing up the helpdesk module, with this module, when a member send support we will have all the necessary details. The current ticket support requires you to type in your details everytime you send etc. and we hope this will reduce spamming in the tickets and provide better support with faster response time. We will need 1 week to test after coding. Expected launch in mid April. You can see a 'sneek peak' of the new design in the attachment. New script at the moment has the best autoclicker detector available, if you use an autoclicker you will be ban.
2. Bux.to card payments initiated yesterday, serveral members have received their payments via Bux.to card. Please note there is may a couple of hours delay by notifying you and getting your Bux.to credit for. We continue to pay all the members, premium and free through AlertPay and card as you can see from their feedback. Minimum cashout request to card is $75. If the payment request is less than $75, it will be cancelled and you will have to place a new one.
